Description

MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite.

DESCRIPTION: Crostwick and Beeston St Andrew War Memorial is located by the North Walsham Road (B1150) at Crostwick, Norfolk. It comprises a wheel-head cross on a plinth with a single-stepped base beneath. It has a smooth face to the front of the plinth bearing inscriptions in leaded lettering.

The inscription reads TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE/ PARISHES/ OF CROSTWICK AND BEESTON ST ANDREW/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAMES).
