Description
The North Burlingham War Memorial Cross is situated in the churchyard, in front of the tower of the Grade I-listed Church of St Andrew. It features an approximately 2-meter tall polished grey granite wheel-head cross mounted on a tapering plinth. The plinth is set on a single block of grey granite, with a base of stone and brick underneath. The plinth displays inscriptions in incised lettering.
The main dedicatory inscription on the front face of the plinth reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO FELL/ DURING THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS." The names of those commemorated are recorded on either side of the plinth.
