Description
The Manor House is a house dated 1792, as indicated by the initials R and E.A. on the west gable. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with roofs that are both pantiled and thatched. The building has two and three storeys, featuring a two-storey wing to the east that has a steeply pitched reed thatched roof with a gable end. The east wing includes two ground floor and two first floor three-light 19th century casement windows. There is a central axial stack, a 20th century entrance door, and a two-light casement window with glazing bars in the east gable. Additionally, there are two two-light windows with lozenge-pattern glazing bars that have been reset in a lean-to at the rear.
To the west, there is a three-storey pantiled range that features two and four-light casement windows, with segmental heads on the ground and first floor openings. The corners of this range are marked by plain brick pilasters with weathered tops, and the west gable is parapeted with tumbling and an internal stack. At the junction of the two blocks, there is a 20th century porch with an entablature supported by two fluted pilasters. The entrance door from the 19th century has two full-length panels, and the west gable is partly rendered. There are also later one and two-storey lean-tos on the north side of the building.
