Description
Bedingham War Memorial is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew on Church Road in Bedingham, Norfolk. It is prominently situated within the churchyard and features a granite wheel-head cross on a four-stepped base, with the lowest step made from a different material. The upper three granite steps have incised inscriptions that are blacked on polished surfaces. Surrounding the memorial is a small enclosure made of a low kerb, which is adorned with eight small decorative metal posts linked by chains.
The inscription on the memorial reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THOSE FROM THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919/ (NAMES)/ THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOR EVERMORE/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAME)."
