Description
Woodton Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century and late 18th century, constructed of colour-washed brick and timber frame, with a pantile roof and hipped pantile roof. The building has a T-shaped plan and features a north facade with five bays and two storeys. It includes sash windows with glazing bars, a central timber glazed porch flanked by two sashes on each side, and five 6-pane sashes on the first floor. The cornice is adorned with timber modillions, and the roof is hipped.
At the rear, there are two parallel ranges with three bays and two storeys. The southern bay has a two-storey canted bay window featuring sash windows with glazing bars on three sides, with some upper floor sashes still retaining trefoil glazing bars in the heads. There is a small light to the right of the canted bay and two additional sashes on both the ground and first floors. An off-centre axial stack is present.
Inside, the timber frames of the rear ranges are intact. One bedroom features a canted bay window, a deeply coved ceiling, and panelled doors, with the upper panels displaying trefoil heads.
