Description
Rectory Farm House and the attached barn are a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The building features stone walls, a thatched roof, and a stone stack. It has an L-shaped plan, which includes a small house and an attached barn, a style that is unusual in Dorset and follows the Laithe House tradition. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a brick porch in the internal angle, topped with a slate lean-to roof. On the ground floor, the house has one fixed window and one casement window, both with glazing bars. The barn features a pair of large doors, as well as a single ledged door with a loft door above it. There is also an attached farm building at the north end, constructed of stone and with a thatched roof.
