Description

The garden wall and gateway to The Grove, dating from the 18th century, is located on the north side of Rax Lane. The wall features a hammer dressed stone plinth, with sections made of red and yellow brick, topped with ashlar coping that is ramped on the west side. The early 19th century gate piers are made of Portland ashlar, adorned with moulded caps and recessed panels. This structure is part of a group that includes the garden wall to Rax, The Grove, the gatehouse of No 32, its outhouses, and several nearby properties.
