Description

This is a mid-19th century building constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a corrugated iron roof. It is three storeys high and features three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The front entrance has a six-panel door topped with an oblong fanlight, and a segment-headed carriage entrance with planked double doors. A winch hoist is also present. The building forms part of a group with several other properties and structures along Rax Lane and extending to Downes Street and North Street, including walls, outhouses, a gatehouse, and the Conservative Club and its stables.
