Description
8 Northumberland Street is a mid-19th century building that has undergone alterations to its ground floor. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and is adorned with a modillion eaves cornice and a blocking course. Continuous sill bands run along the façade, which includes five ranges of round-arched sash windows. All the windows are paired except for the central range, and they are set in plain raised frames with triangular pediments on the first floor and moulded cornices on the second floor. The building also has canted corners.
