Description
Garden's Cottage is a late 18th century cottage and outhouse that backs onto a kitchen garden wall. The building features brick walls in English bond with a brick parapet and stone coping. It has a slate roof with gable ends and a large brick stack that was rebuilt in the 18th century. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are three-light iron casements with lead lights, and a two-light window at the centre upper level. The windows are topped with segmental brick arches and have wooden cills. The front door, located at the centre of the ground floor, has fielded panels and two top lights, dating from the 20th century. There is an attached range built with the same materials, featuring a 20th-century brick stack at the centre ridge. This range is also two storeys high and has three windows, which are two-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, along with a plank door and a two-leaf plank door.
