Description

MELBURY BUBB MELBURY BUBB ST 50 NE VILLAGE 2/77 Three Monuments in the churchyard 15 metres south-east of Chancel of Church of St Mary GV II Table-Tombs. Two of C17, one of C18. Stone. (1) With plain stone sides and ends, moulded cornice and flat top block. Inscription illegible, dated 1632. (2) With plain stone sides and ends, moulded cornice and flat top block. To Richard Hanleigh of Batcombe, died 1699. (3) With two ovolo-moulded panels to each side, hipped top block and moulded cornice. Inscription illegible, dated 1769.
