Description
Five monuments are located in the churchyard, 4 to 8 metres south of the nave of St Mary. These are five table-tombs from the 17th century, made of stone. From east to west, the first monument has plain stone sides, a cavetto cornice, and a flat top block, dedicated to Elizabeth Collins, who died in 1620. The second monument also has plain stone sides, a cavetto cornice, and a flat top block, commemorating Margaret Frenche, who died in 1605. The third monument shares the same design, but the inscription is illegible. The fourth monument, from the mid-17th century, is dedicated to Elizabeth Abbot and follows the same design. The fifth monument features two ovolo-moulded panels on each side, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top block, with an illegible inscription.
