Description
New Inn Farmhouse is a former inn that has been converted into a detached farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century, with some 17th-century mullions that have been reset. The building features painted rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with gable ends and stone gable copings. It stands three storeys high and has three windows. The ground floor includes three-light ovolo-moulded stone mullions with separate labels above, along with iron casements and fixed lights. The upper floors have a mix of three-light and two-light wooden casements with glazing bars, wooden cills, and lintels. The front entrance is centrally located and consists of a plank door with a wooden frame and a wooden lintel above, dating from the 19th century. At the rear, there is a continuous slate-roofed outshut that extends to within two metres of the ground. The long rear range is single storey, with painted rubble-stone walls and a Roman-tile roof with a gable end. It features two brick stacks on the ridge, two three-light wooden casements, and one 20th-century door.
