Description
Three monuments in the churchyard, located 3 to 5 metres southeast of the tower of the Church of St Mary, are table-tombs dating from the late 17th century and early 18th century. The first monument has plain stone sides, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top block, commemorating John Foye, Gent, who died on 15th February 1685. The second monument also features plain stone sides, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top block, but its inscription is illegible and it is partly sunken. The third monument is made of plain Portland stone with bulbous ends, a projecting cornice, and a flat top block, dedicated to Elizabeth Baker, who died in 1701.
