Description
The Methodist Chapel and Schoolroom, located in Fontmell Magna, consists of a chapel dated 1831, which was an enlargement of a building from 1797, and a schoolroom dated 1874. The chapel is constructed of ashlar and rubble, while the schoolroom is made of Flemish bond brick with rusticated ashlar quoins, both topped with tiled roofs. The main facade faces north, featuring two round-headed sash windows with glazing bars on either side of a central late 19th-century porch that has a plain plank door. The gable of the schoolroom also faces north and includes a three-light pointed-head window with traceried detailing and a quatrefoil head.
