Outbuilding Adjoining No 9 To The South East Premises Of W Fanner And Sons

The outbuilding adjoining No. 9 to the southeast, associated with the premises of W Fanner and Sons, dates from the 19th century and is constructed of stone rubble with a slate gabled roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays. On the upper left side, there is a small three-light window, while the right side has a wooden boarded loft door above a garage door on the ground floor. A long wing extends behind the north front, which has a three-storey gable end facing the road. This wing contains one bay with a window in the uppermost storey and doors below. The east wall of the rear wing has three bays, each with small windows that are regularly spaced above and below. The building is listed due to its significant position within the street scene. It forms part of a group with the War Memorial, Nos 5 to 9 (odd), the premises of W Fanner and Sons, Sheerness Cottage, Cann Court, Knapp Villa, and associated dwarf wall, railings, gates, and gate piers.
