Description
Abbey Stone, dated 1615, is a building of C17 or earlier origin, which has undergone significant alterations. It consists of a stone ashlar range with a brick wing at the rear. Originally, it may have been a larger house or farm. The building is two storeys high and has four windows. Part of the road frontage is constructed of rubble. A relieving arch and mullions are present in one ground floor opening. Stone ashlar chimneys are a feature. The roof has been altered, and further alterations have been made to the fabric. The property forms a group with Nos. 68 to 86 (even), and Nos. 90 to 96 (even) gate piers and an outhouse adjoining No. 96.
