Description

No. 57 St James Street is a building dating from 1615, with elements from the 18th century or earlier visible at the back. It is two storeys high and has three windows on the front, which is made of colourwashed stone rubble. The roof is modern. To the left, there is a day with a slightly higher frontage. The windows do not have glazing bars, and there is a wooden boarded door set in the wall next to the house on the left. No. 57 is part of a group that includes Nos. 55 to 67 (odd).
