Description

The pump located in the center of the court on St James Street dates back to 1615. It features a square stone shaft with slightly battered sides and recessed panels. The top is capped with weathered stone, and it is equipped with an ancient iron handle and plate. This pump, along with Nos 35 to 53 (odd), the stone setts outside Nos 35 to 39 (odd), and the dwarf wall and railings enclosing the court on the street side, forms a cohesive group of historical significance.
