No 55 on St James Street is a building from 1615, located next to No 53. It is likely from the 18th century and features a long, two-storey front made of stone rubble that has been colourwashed. The building has four bays and has recently been re-conditioned. It has a patent pantile roof, casement windows, and a door hood supported by small moulded brackets, along with a small bow window on the ground floor. Nos 55 to 67 (odd) form a group.
