Description

No 33A on St James Street is a building dating from the 18th century. It has a tall, two-storey front made of rough ashlar stone. The façade features two window bays and a central doorway. The roof is gabled and covered with plain tiles, and there is a tall brick chimney stack at the right-hand end. On the upper floor, there is one window, which is a modern two-light casement with a lintel. The ground floor has two-light segmental headed windows. The door is modern and has a gabled hood made of corrugated iron supported by wooden brackets. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 21 to 33 (odd) and No 33A.
