Description

The Fox and Hounds Public House is a building dating from 1615, located on St James Street, North Side, No 67. It is a low, two-storey structure with a three-window stone rubble front and a plaintile roof. The ground floor features four windows, although the doorway has been removed and the windows have been altered. There is a sign on a wrought-iron bracket. Additionally, there is a lower, probably 18th-century, two-storey, one-bay addition on Tanyard Lane. The buildings numbered 55 to 67 (odd) form a group.
