Description

F C Douch and Son is an early to mid 19th century building located at No 7 on Leigh Road. It is the end of a terrace of similar houses, although the rest of the terrace has been drastically altered and is of local interest only. The building features rendered walls and a slate roof, with a rendered stack. It has two storeys and an attic.

On the ground floor, there is a 19th century shop front designed as a canted bay, which includes vertical column divisions and a classical entablature. The entrance has a recessed part-glazed door, and there is also one double hung sash window with stepped glazing bars. The first floor contains three similar sash windows, while the attic features one gabled dormer with casement windows.
