Description

Nos 6 to 10 on South Street are a group of three brick buildings, with No 6 dated "S G 1818," which may refer to Samuel Gundry, a notable local figure of that time. The buildings are constructed of colour washed brick and stand three storeys tall. No 6 features a moulded eaves cornice and sash windows with glazing bars, while its windows are flush framed. The three 19th-century shopfronts have moulded cornices, and there are two doors with semi-circular fanlights; No 8 has a planked door, and No 10 has a fielded door. These buildings, along with Nos 4 to 12, form a cohesive group.
