Description
The barn at Newell House School, located on the east side of Cornhill, dates from the early to mid-16th century. It is constructed of stone and features loops at the gable ends. The roof is covered with plaintiles, and there is a porch on the north side. Inside, the barn has a well-crafted braced collar-beam and side purlin roof supported by six bays. Historically, the Abbey Orchards extended up to this location.
