Description

BEAMINSTER SHORTS LANE ST 4701/4801 (SOUTH SIDE) 7/149 Knowle Cottage, and attached walls and gate-piers. GV II

Attached Cottage, Mid C19. Stone walls, rendered and washed. Slate roof with gable ends. One brick stack at left hand gable. 2 storeys. 2 windows. 3-light casements with glazing-bars. Old glass. Front door at centre, wood, flush-panelled with 2-lights, C19. Attached Gate-Piers at right-hand C19. 2 square stone gate-piers with tall fielded panels on each face. Hollowed cornices. Squared ball- finials on cavetto spurs. Curving stone walls attached to each gate- pier for 15 feet each side. The listing does not include the C19 house of same name at rear.
