Description

The Chimes is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It features ashlar stone walls with rubble side walls and a slate roof that has stone gable copings and level kneelers. There are brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The house is two storeys high and has three sash windows with glazing bars. The front door, located at the centre, is wooden with five recessed panels and is a 20th-century addition. Access to the door is via two steps leading up from the pavement.
