Description
Manor Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century additions. It features plastered cob walls and a hipped thatched roof, with a brick stack at one end. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and is one storey high with an attic. The front wall is buttressed, and there are 20th-century metal French doors. The ground floor includes one casement window with cast iron lights, while the attic has a dormer with a sash window that has glazing bars. The main room on the ground floor contains a large fireplace with a timber lintel that has been built up, and there is an original spiral stair. Some of the ceiling beams are stop-chamfered. At the rear, there are substantial 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey additions.
