Description

No. 5 Long Street is an attached house dating from the early 19th century. It features rendered walls with coursed incisions and a dentil cornice. The roof is covered with asbestos slate, and there is a rendered stack located behind the ridge to the left of center, along with a 20th-century brick stack on the ridge to the right of center. The house is two storeys tall and has two sash windows with glazing bars, each consisting of 16 panes. The front door is centrally located and is a panelled design with glazed lights, dating from the 20th century. It is framed by a reeded pilaster surround with architraves, bossed imposts, a dentil cornice, and a shallow pediment, all of which are characteristic of the early 19th century.
