Description

Nos 9 to 13 on East Street are a group of two-storey cottages with attics, featuring stucco and painted brick fronts, dating from around the same time as the nearby buildings. No 13 has a rough cast finish above. The cottages have dormers and five sash windows, some of which have altered glazing bars. No 11 is distinguished by its rusticated quoins and a small bowed shop window with glazing bars. There is a shop front at No 13, while No 9 has a small shop window with four lights and a moulded fascia. These buildings, along with Nos 1 to 17 and the outbuildings behind Nos 1 and 3, are of particular interest as most date from the fire of 1731.
