Description
Nos 5 and 7 on Croft Road are a pair of cottages dating from around 1800. They are constructed of stuccoed brick, with the ground floor of No 7 finished in painted brick. The cottages rise to three storeys and are two windows wide, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. However, the sashes in No 7 have been replaced with modern top-opening-light windows. A continuous wooden cornice and frieze runs above the ground floor. No 5 has a new fielded-panel door and a rectangular fanlight, while No 7 includes a passageway entrance. These cottages are part of a group that includes Nos 5 to 35 (odd).
