Description
Nos 1 and 2 Preston Court Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with an extension added in the late 19th century; No 1 is the extension. They are constructed of painted brick and have a plain tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high with a basement, featuring a brick eaves cornice beneath a hipped roof that has stacks positioned to the centre left and offset at the end right. Each cottage has three glazing bar sash windows on both floors, all with cambered heads, and there is a basement opening to the right. The entrance includes a boarded door at the end left and a flush-panel door in a double rebated surround at the centre right, which is topped by a round arch and accessed by four moulded steps.
