Description

No. 7 East Street is a house that dates from before the fire, specifically from the early 18th century. It features a four-window front and is two stories high with an attic. The building is constructed of purple brick with burnt headers and has a coved eaves cornice along the roof. There are two hipped dormers and casement windows throughout. The entrance has a flat door architrave, and there are small shop fronts, one of which is on the left and is bowed with glazing bars.

This property is part of a group of buildings, including Nos. 1 to 17 (odd) and the outbuildings behind Nos. 1 and 3, which are of particular interest as most of them were built following the fire of 1731.
