Description

No. 164 is an 18th-century detached cottage located on the west side of East Street, Corfe Castle. The building is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and a brick stack at the right end. It stands at an angle to the road. The front features a part-glazed door and a ledged door at the left end. The ground floor has two casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, while the first floor has two casement windows with glazing bars. A single-storey brick lean-to has been added to the rear, with a catslide roof. A rubble stone boundary wall runs along the road frontage, topped with cock and hen coping stones. The property is now owned by the National Trust.
