Description
No. 118 on East Street is a house with an attached outbuilding, which is now incorporated into the house. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered over time. The building features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with a stone stack at the gable end of the main block and a brick stack at the end of the outbuilding. The structure has an L-shaped plan, with the main block positioned at right angles to the road and standing two storeys high. On the gable end facing the road, there are two 20th-century metal casements on the first floor. The south front has two 20th-century casements on each floor, and there is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the left end. The single-storeyed outbuilding range along the road has two 20th-century metal casements in its front wall. Despite the alterations, the building is included for its group value.
