Description
No. 116, including the attached outbuilding on the right, is a house located at the left end of a terrace in Corfe Castle, dated 1742. The house features coursed rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with brick end stacks. It is two storeys high with attics. The gabled porch has a part-glazed door. On the ground floor, there are two casements with glazing bars set under brick arches, while the first floor has three casements with glazing bars. The attic includes two gabled dormers with casements that also have glazing bars. At the rear, there is a niche on the west gable of the wing, which contains some re-set 12th-century stonework, likely from the nearby castle. The attached outbuilding has rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, and is one storey high with an attic. It features a ledged door under a brick arch, a ground floor with a blocked window under a brick arch, and an attic with one gabled dormer that has casements with glazing bars.
