Description

MELBURY BUBB ST 50 NE MELBURY BUBB VILLAGE 2/75 Two Monuments in the churchyard 3-4 metres south of Tower of Church of St Mary GV II Two Table-Tombs. Early C17. Stone. (1) With plain stone sides and ends, hollow-chamfered cornice and flat top block. "Here lieth the body of Alexander Buckler: Ano: Dni: 1598. Bilt by iii this his Daught: 1622". Incised block-letter inscription. (2) With plain stone sides, hollow-chamfered cornice and flat top block. Inscription to Thomas Buckler, died 14th April 1634.
