Description

Two unidentified monuments are located 7-8 metres east of the Churchyard Cross in Cerne Abbas. These are table-tombs from the 17th and 18th centuries. The first tomb, dating from the 17th century, is made of stone and features two recessed panels on each side, along with a top modillion cornice and memento mori in the spandrels. It has a flat top block. The second tomb, from the 18th century, is also made of stone and has one recessed panel on each side with plain corners and a hipped top block. The inscription on this tomb is illegible.
