Description

This is a detached cottage dating to approximately 1700. It is constructed of rubble stone walls with a stone slate roof, featuring an ashlar stack at the left end and a brick stack at the right end. The cottage is set at a right angle to the road, with a small single-storey rear lean-to. A C20 timber porch shelters a ledged door. The ground floor has two casement windows; the first floor has one casement window with glazing bars, and one horizontally sliding sash window with remnants of lead lights. A fixed window is set into the gable end facing the road on the first floor. It is a National Trust property.
