Description
The Old School is a building dating from around 1850, originally constructed as a school and now serving as a house. It features squared, coursed rubble walls and a gable-ended roof made of shaped tiles with stone copings. Designed in a 'Tudor' style, it has a gabled cross-wing on the left side. The building is a single storey with an attic and has a four-window range.
On the ground floor to the left, there is a canted bay with a stone mullioned window. Above the gable, there is a two-light stone mullioned window. The next bay contains a door topped with a four-centred head, above which is a jettied dormer featuring a two-light mullioned window with a label. To the right, there are a two-light mullioned window and a single light window, both of which have returned labels. The windows are adorned with diamond pattern leaded-lights.
