Description

The Crown Inn is a late 18th-century inn located in Ibberton. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with gable ends and end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical facade with two storeys and five bays. It includes two-light casement windows that have glazing bars. A central 20th-century porch is present, along with two 17th-century studded elm plank doors that retain their original hinges. There are various wooden outshuts from the 19th and 20th centuries on both the right and left sides. Inside, there is an open fireplace with two ovens. Historical photographs show that the building was originally thatched and included a dormer.
