Description

IBBERTON IBBERTON VILLAGE ST 70 NE 9/49 Crown Inn - II Inn, late C18. Brick (Flemish bond), slate roof with gable ends and end brick stacks. Symmetrical facade. 2 storeys, 5 bays. 2-light casement windows with glazing bars. Central C20 porch. 2 C17 studded elm-plark doors with original hinges. Various C19/20 wooden outshuts to right and left. Open fireplace with 2 ovens. Building thatched with dormer in old photographs. "RCHM, Dorset, Vol III", p 125, no 6.
