Mill Cottage is an 18th-century house of small size, with a substantial 20th-century extension to the rear. The house is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a first-floor band and rubbed flat arches. It features a tile roof. The south front is symmetrical, composed of two storeys and two windows. The windows are 20th-century casements, with one replacing the original central doorway. A service wing connects the main house to the rear extension.
