Description

The White Monument is a table-tomb located 4 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Michael in Winterbourne Steepleton. It dates from the early 18th century and features plain stone sides and corners, along with a heavy-chamfered top block. The inscription reads: "Here lyeth the body of Bernard White ..... died April the 2nd 1728".
