Description
Hams Plot is a villa, now functioning as a guest house, dating from the late 17th century and around 1830. It features stone walls that are stuccoed and has slate roofs with projecting boxed eaves. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, which are two-light French windows with marginal glazing and top-lights above. A trelliswork verandah with a flared pentice glass roof adorns the front. The upper floor includes a continuous ironwork balcony with semi-circular divisions, and there is a wooden flared canopy with glass panels above the windows. The rear (north) side has mullion windows, with three being three-light and one being four-light, which may have been heightened in the 19th century, all topped with a continuous label. The front door is located on the east elevation.
