Description
This is a large, detached barn that likely dates from the 18th century. It features ironstone walls, with the upper sections raised or rebuilt in brick. The barn has a tiled roof with stone eaves courses and is single-storey. On the east side, there is a large cart porch with a hipped roof and timber doors. The west side has a plain cart entrance. The roof structure is from the 19th century and includes king-post trusses. There is also an attached single-storey range on the west, which is made of brick and has a slate roof. The barn is included for its group value with the nearby East Holme Cottages.
