Description

The Old Cottage is an 18th-century building located on Gold Street in Stalbridge. It features coursed rubble stone walls and a thatched roof, with a stone stack at one end. The cottage is two storeys high and has two window ranges, along with a later single-storey addition on the left side. On the right side, the ground floor includes a possibly later rectangular bay window with leaded lights, covered with stone slates. The upper floor has two and three-light leaded-light windows. The addition to the left has a blocked doorway. The front garden is bordered by vertically set stone flags.
