Description
This building is a barn, cart shed, and granary, constructed around 1840. It features brick walls primarily in Flemish bond and slate roofs, mostly with gable ends. The structure is designed in an L-shape at the corner of the inner farmyard. The barn has entrances on opposite sides, including a large segmental arch on the south side and a square projecting porch on the north side, which has double plank doors and a hipped roof. The barn's roof consists of six bays with queen post construction and diagonal strutting. The cart shed and granary are positioned at right angles to the barn, with the cart shed on the ground floor having an entrance from the yard, while the granary above is accessible from inside the yard. The cart shed has brick walls mainly in English bond and features four bays with chamfered brick piers and wide segmental arches. The granary includes brick stops and stone treads leading to a plank door entrance. This building is part of a model farm group, although it is not fully intact today.
