Description
Oaks Farm Barns is a barn, cart shed, and granary, made up of various 18th century constructions, built from red brick and covered with pantiles. The barn has eight bays and is oriented east to west, featuring a lean-to on the southern side and attached cart sheds and a granary at the eastern end. There are two barn doors on the northern side, with the western door having a raised roof above it. The central section of the barn has a plinth made of large flints and brick dentil eaves. The gables have parapets with brick tumbling. The cart shed, which has a granary above it, consists of five bays, four of which have segmental brick arches supported by brick piers, while the northern bay features a timber lintel. The roof is hipped with staggered butt purlins. The Gig House located to the south at the eastern end of the barn is not of special interest.
