SY 6399 SYDLING ST NICHOLAS SYDLING CHURCHYARD

12/197 Sandon and Watts Monuments 18-15 metres west of Tower of Church of St Nicholas

GV II Two Table-Tombs. Late C18. Stone. 1) With one fielded panel each side, and tiered fielded-panel pilasters. Moulded cornice and hipped top block. To William Sandon of Hillfield .... died Oct. 28 1793, aged 71 years. Further inscription on south side. 2) With 2 panels each side, with putti-faces in cornice, properly articulated pilasters. End-blocks have moulded cartouches, and memento mori. To Henry Watts, died April 1731.
