Description

No. 1 The Street is a detached house, probably from the 18th century. It features plastered cob walls resting on a stone base and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building is one storey high with attics. The entrance includes part-glazed doors set within a rustic timber porch that has a tiled roof. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic boasts four gabled dormers, each with similar casements. The main room on the ground floor contains a large open fireplace, which still shows remnants of a bread oven.
